The Insightful

Today's thought: World's a crazy place and you were born to make it even crazier.

Good morning people. Before we start, I need you to answer some simple questions. When was the last time you were happy, when you actually felt complete. When you smiled and meant it. Think what your past self imagined you at this age v/s what you are today. Do you have everything you ever wanted? If you can answer these questions, you are KILLING it. If not, you might want to change your way of living.

In this messy world we often forget what we want. We want to be happy. Maybe you lost your meaning of life when your sweet boss turned into a giant. Or maybe when your teacher or your elders said that you aren't good enough. When did your motive of life changed from being happy to earning money or from being a productive and a successful student to being that 'cool dude' in school.

Do something today that you haven't done in a while. Maybe, catch up with your friends, go for a small walk, talk to your long lost relatives, paint, dance like no one's watching (because no one is really watchin), maybe listen to your favorite jam you haven't heard in a while or read up a good book [p.s. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert is a great one.] Bring back that spark in your life. Don't just pass your life, live it.

There are times in life things don't work out. There are bad days but you've got to survive through rain for a rainbow, right? Maybe today your boss looks like a piñata or you look at your teacher and think, "they are responsible for instructions on shampoo bottles". When you are feeling down, thinking about things that can make you happy is THE WORST idea because when you are feeling that way, you may not find interesting things to be happy about leading to more depressing thoughts. Instead listen to sad songs and let that feeling out. Journal about how you feel, maybe even punch your pillow but let that feeling of anger, sadness and anxiety out slowly. A great tip for anxiety is cutting vegetables. It releases enzymes leaving you a bit less miserable. Meditation is another medicine for sadness and anxiety.

Remember we are freaks, we are fragile and life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.

Goodbye and see you next Sunday.

Love Scarlett 😊
