For when you are feeling low...

Why fit in when you were born to stand out

Good morning people. I hope you guys are having a great time. If not, you don't really need anyone's consent to be happy or to have your time. It's your birthright for god's sake. I am sure there must be some part in your life where you were tired of everything and you wanted to sneak into your blanket and hide from the monsters or consequences. It's ok but did you think of maybe reversing the scenario. Try having a tea with the monster or give the scenario a gentle smile. The friendly one. Ask yourself why are you afraid of the problem. Is it a failure? Allodoxaphobia? What is it that your subconscious is afraid of? You find your problem, it's easier to solve THE problem.

To get on with the topic, there are some days when you don't feel right. There doesn't have to be a reason for feeling low. We are homo sapiens and we have hormones that aren't good corporators. So here are some tips for an improvement in spirits:

  • Unplug from your phone and connect to your surroundings. I know "peopling" isn't really everyone's cup of tea but, unplugging doesn't mean you have to "people". You can go for a cup of coffee or something.

  • Go to a library. Trust me when I say books have much more tolerance than people. In fact, my ideal day would be sitting in a library and having a cup of green tea while listening to the sound of rain or music, whatever is available.

  • Meditate or do some yoga. Again, I know that we, homo sapiens don't have a lot of patience but, please bear with me on this one. In fact, my dad is the witness of the fact that meditation can improve moods. That however doesn't mean that he'll do that one thing religiously, every morning as his daughter told him to. Instead, that sweet, caring daughter has to remind him at least a million times to do just 5 minutes of closing eyes and focusing on your breath while listening to zen music.

  • Go for a walk in nature. Nature is the best stress buster.

  • And lastly, eat chocolates. Chocolates contain enzymes like dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. The same enzymes are released in the human body when we are excited or happy.

Before going, I would like to tell you that we are freaks, we are fragile and life is not a problem to be solved but, a reality to be experienced.
