Creativity, Art and Imagination

Growing old is not an option but, growing up is a choice.

I believe everyone should have at least 5 hobbies. One to make you money, one to keep you in shape, one to build your knowledge, one to evolve your mindset and one to keep you creative. Making new things using skill or imagination. This was the literal meaning of creativity. If you ask me, creativity is like pizza on a Monday night or your parents allowing you to skip school without a reason. In other words, it is what brings you happiness. It is a way of expressing feeling which can't be easily expressed. You might not notice it but, even the simplest painting or the smallest poem has a story behind it. Or maybe it's just that you are bored and you have annoyed every single person you possibly can. Creativity can create marvellous things.

Art and imagination are some of my reasons to live, after my family (well it's my mother who reads my blog first so if I don't mention them, I know I am gonna have a bad day and I am so not in the mood of spoiling my Sunday). Imagination can come from anywhere. You get more than ever creative in the bathroom. That is because we know there is no one to judge. Fear of rejection is one of the main reasons why people hide their creativity. Another reason is competition. And the reason is weird and yet one of the most popular. Addiction to Suffering. This is one of the ideas that is fit in our head from a very young age, either directly or indirectly. The great painter Francis Bacon said: "The feelings of depression and unhappiness are more useful to an artist than the feeling of contentment." That is a terrible thing. People believe that they can only succeed if they have suffered enough. I write, I read, I sing because that is what brings me happiness and the moment you start suffering for it, congrats, you just ruined it. Just because some people tell you that suffering will make you more creative, use your brain and for your sake don't fall for it. You need to listen to your heart and do it like you are in your bathroom. It is much better than suffering.

Lastly, remember we are freaks, we are fragile and life is not a problem to be solved but, a reality to be experienced.

Goodbye and see you next Sunday.

Love Scarlett😊
